Wal-Mart China Appoints New Vice President of Development

Shenzhen (February 23, 2007) — Ed Chan, President & CEO of Wal-Mart China, announced today that Terry Cullen would play the role of head of the Business Development
Department.

Terry Cullen will be the Vice President of Wal-Mart China Development effective from March 5, 2007. Terry has over 20 years experience in the field of international real estate development. In his previous positions with Home Depot and Costco Wholesale Corporation, Terry was primarily responsible for strategic development and implementation of international real estate matters, including market analysis, site selection and construction oversight. Trained as an attorney, Terry also has considerable experience in other areas including litigation management, corporate mergers and acquisitions and intellectual property licensing.
